On Linux there is a way to set/change the priority of processes, the user can act to give greater or lesser priority to its own processes.

And so it begins! The Compiz-backed version of Unity – to be the default Ubuntu 11.04 desktop – has arrived on Launchpad.
For those with itchy fingers and brave hearts ‘Unity Compiz’ (‘Compinity’ anyone?) will be available for installation via a PPA tomorrow according to Ubuntu Desktop Experience lead njpatel.

Yesterday we mentioned that Firefox 4 Beta for Linux now boasts a ‘menu’ button rather than a menu bar. Whilst it’s undoubtedly welcome it doesn’t look as good as it could – nor should.

Where am I? No, I don’t know either. Why? The “relaunch” of the new-look Spread Ubuntu site – which offers a massive online catalogue of downloadable marketing materials for Ubuntu – has happened and I didn’t notice!
